The Wik and Kugu Arts Centre is located in Aurukun – a small, remote Indigenous community on the north-west tip of Cape York Peninsula.
The gallery is an important cultural centre focussed on authentic and high quality Indigenous sculpture and fibre art.
There has been an art centre at Aurukun for over fifty years and it provides artistic and commercial support for local artists, however with limited funds and means, the arts centre had zero online presence.
SGY was engaged to design and build a website for the arts centre. The website needed to have comprehensive backend functionality with SAM CRM integration for timely content update. The resulting site is simple and effortlessly showcases the centre, its artists and their work.
